She's Here!!!

Elizabeth Marina Ruth
8lb. 7 oz. 21 1/2"
6/9/14 at 5:57am

She was resting with me in my hospital bed.  I loved snuggling with her while I was there.
Jane, Lucas & Elizabeth getting comfy on the couch

She's getting nicely filled out because she's a great nurser.  She's also a very mellow baby.

I'm also enjoying the time with my Mom.  She's here for a while.
I feel so badly not having blogged about little EMR until now.  Well, we've been otherwise occupied with nursing, healing, visiting, and keeping up with the remodel.  I need to take pictures of all that's going on.  Tomorrow is a big demolition day for the front entryway.  If I'm not a prisoner in my own home, I may get out to take pictures of the progress.  I'll just say it's big and it's awesome!!!!

Oh, Yeah!

    1. Thanks, Jessica. I haven't been following any blogs for months so I didn't know you are expecting. Congratulations! I will keep you in prayer. This pregnancy was quite different from the others. I had 2 false labors at 37 and 38 weeks, I went to 1 day before my due date which is rare for me (all my babies were early....anywhere from 2 weeks to a few days early), my labor stopped after my midwife broke my water, and I needed pitocin to keep things moving! It was just like my first birth and this was my 8th! Crazy! I hope things go well for you. This later babies can really throw you for a loop.:)

    1. Thanks, Heather! I feel like there's no time, too. The day just slips away. Unfortunately, I'm missing lessons and appts! Ugh! Thanks for the prayers....I'm feeling stronger and more capable everyday.:) I hope things are going well on your end. Give Benjamin a little kiss from us!:)

    2. I also forgot to ask where you got the blue blanket that little angel is wrapped in? It looks just like Peter's blanket that used to be Todd's when he was a baby. He is so insanely attached to it. If they are still being made somewhere, I should get one, wash it a billion times, and maybe (just maybe) it could be an emergency replacement. I tell you, your little godson is just like Linus (from Charlie Brown, not the pope)...sucking his thumb and carrying around his blankie everywhere!

    3. I've been trying to think of where I got that blanket. I think it came from clothes Kathy S. was handing over to me. I went through several of her things so I'll bet I got it from her. I really can't remember buying it so I think that's how it came to me. Sorry.
