Apple Picking...





led to canning....






We used a "saucer" to process the apples into spiced apple sauce.
Our hard work yielded 7 quarts.  Not bad for a first time!
and more canning....





which of course leads to a lot of happy dancing....




which also means we have to work a few more pounds off by exercising!





Thankfully, we were able to preserve 12 pints of salsa, 7 quarts of applesauce, and 13 1/2 pints of apple butter.  There are still about 70 lbs. of apples left to process and 20 lbs. of tomatoes.  Phew!
