More Days of Christmas

Eight Maids A'Milking - Eight Beatitudes

Saturday evening we headed over to the Convention Grill in Edina for a malted milk.  These just happen to be the best in the Twin Cities per our neighbor who joined us for a double date night back in summer.  He swore the best place for a malt is in Duluth until he had a malt at the Convention Grill.

That's authentic 1920's kitsch.

The kids loved their malts, burgers, and more.  That's got to be one of the best hand-pressed burgers in the Twin Cities!

Nine Ladies Dancing - The Nine Fruits of the Holy Spirit

The girls were thrilled to hear they will be going to the Little Flowers Father/Daughter Dance on the 21st of this month.  They loved getting dressed up last year and having a night out with Daddy.  Here's last year's pic before they went dancing.

This next pic was taken at the dance.  You can bring your camera to take a shot with their fancy backdrop.

Ten Lords A'Leaping - Ten Commandments

I don't have anything planned for today.:(  I will be taking the day to do laundry, continue straightening the kids' bins, and setting up our calendar for the rest of the year including lesson planning.  I was so happy celebrating the end of Advent and the first days of Christmas, having Daddy home for some of those days, and enjoying my sister's visit that I am not ready to start back to school just yet.  That's one of the joys of home education.  You can take things at your own pace and enjoy a lot of the family moments as they come up.

Have a great week!

  1. Love your "go with the flow" attitude! I know that flexibility is a huge benefit of home schooling, but still have trouble with it. We're all coming down with something (cough, fever, sniffles) over here, but are trying to get most of our work done...we'll see how it all pans out!

We love comments! Thanks for keeping up the conversation.
