Hurrah for potty training!Now, that is a a great gift.Happy Birthday!Mary @ A Simple Twist of Faith
Wow - what a year! Great work getting Jane potty trained. Any words of wisdom for Eleanor? She is totally ready, it's me that needs to devote 2-3 days to just that! Those darn diapers are SO convenient!
Thanks, Mary!@ Heather...I really dislike potty training. We started seriously on Tuesday and had several accidents that day, Wednesday & even yesterday. I would sit with Jane for up to 2 hours while she sat on the potty. Meanwhile, the rest of the house suffered from neglect and I really doubted if I should be doing this with her right now. I ate all of my meals in the bathroom with her just waiting for her to go. Sound extreme? Yes, I know, but I prayed for her all week asking Our Lady to take her by the hand (especially this Wednesday at Mass for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception) and show her how to do this. This morning I sat with her again until Sesame Street. She came up on her own during the show to go potty! I could hardly believe it. After that, I let her go bare bottom the rest of the day & she started going to the bathroom herself. She would just go sit herself down & had no accidents the whole day. Praise the Lord! She's so proud of herself. I knew we would get to this other side, but it's the hard process of getting there that is hard to take. I'll be praying for you.:)
